After some research and weather prognostication, we believe the morel season in the Sierra's will be a couple weeks earlier than normal this year. And if spring rains continue into May, we should see a great (early) year for morels, despite having around 60% average snowpack and dry months in January and February. Keep your fingers crossed.
Morel forays are currently scheduled for every Saturday in May: the 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th (which is Memorial Day weekend).
